A Step of faith
By Njoku SaintJerry A.

What is it?
What do you want?
When you asked for it
What do you think

You got there
The door was closed
Alright, turn back
Turn back O! weakling
Thatt's what you think
That's what you think will be

There is a lion at the gate
It scare them blue

But the beast ran first
Your dread did fell on him
While you shrieking
Then he made a second leap

There is a lion at the door
The dog is barking
There is a sea across my door
A fast flowing river
Yet Peter walked on it
He went there and stood on it
In the sea
What he asked for

Here you are still
O'faithless weakling

All the door is locked
As much as you can see
All the people thronged the entrance
As much as you can go
All them problem heavy on them
As much as you know

And the four brothers
through the roof top
Laid their problems low
Amidst the crowd of problem people
Yea, in the midst of forlorn hope
They laid that burden low

See the steps
See what steps I am taking
Trudging on rough edges
Paths that dead-end to hopelessness
Yet here I come
To drink water from the desert
To eat my own bread in the wilderness

Roared The lion barked the dog
I have seen you before
Guards of threats, Dream killers
All stalked to one slippery grip
The gate and the dogs

What do you want?
Want what you imagine
And your dread shall be upon
The beast of the field
All the beast of the sea
Shall be food for you
If you asked for it

And I went there
I rapped on the closed door this time again
Honestly, this door wasn't closed at all
Here I come Lord
In one step
In one step of faith
What I think
What I want
What I get. SaintJerry A. 2001
