How long?
By Njoku SaintJerry A.

How long could you have waited
if you weren't born
How long?

How long could you have cried
If you weren't delivered
How long?
You were shut up for only nine months
Then you had no choice

Or do you have a right?
I would have chosen the first lady
I would have passed through the royal blood
I would have been hatched overseas
Be my birthplace O! America

But How long?
How long could you have waited?
How long could you have cried?
If you had known it was a world of pain.
You waow, you weee

Then all the people staring at me
Some faked a smile
Others faked the joy
The joy of a new birth
One more baby into the world
This world of pain
Were you loved at all?
That was way back

Now you feel the pang
Like a real man do, a real man
Were you loved at all
Maybe dear God has slacked the pace
O! did he forget?

Where are my baby sitters?
They'd loved me so much
Everybody had curdled me then
Mama indeed told me

Now you feel the pang
like a man, a real man
O! how long?
How long could you have cried?
Did Dad forget?

Only he had chosen not to follow
Your on way.
Were you a mistake?
Then there should have been
Four more eyes on your forehead
And two more arms at your waistline

Only He's chosen not to follow
Your own way
How well, dear Lord think of you
You darkie crying baby
Could you have turned white because you complain?
O?how well dear Lord did think of you

Only He's chosen not to it
Your own way
Because in his plan
He has a better plot
He loved you
Still'
